Take Heed Reader – Day 7 of 30

It’s true, it happened. One day I lost it.

Not that I lost it in the physical sense,

rather,

I let the battery die on it.

Somewhere over Colorado I suspect.

Two hours plus remaining on that particular flight.

I don’t know what I was thinking the night before.

I always charge it. Always keep it ready.

But it happened, I can’t deny it.

Maybe it doesn’t mean much to you.

A first world problem, you might call it.

But when your iPod dies at 35K feet,

there’s not much left to do but sit with your own thoughts.

And alone with my thoughts, is a scary place to be.

Don’t cry for me blog reader, isn’t that how the song goes?

For I am nothing if not a man with a contingency plan.

Into my bag I went and pulled out my Kindle.

I powered it on and settled back in,

a confident smirk back on my travel-weary face.

What?!?! From black font to blank screen?

Yes it is true, it happened again.

My electronic device had powered down.

I don’t know what you’d call it, the worst thing in the world?

Fine, fair enough, not quite that bad.

But alone over Utah is a terrible place.

So take heed my readers and avoid this event.

Charge up your products, prepare for your trip.

For I once knew a man where something bad happened.

His tech world stopped working and he was forced to just think.

And before he knew it, he decided to buy a new house.
